I asked Peter who was attending another breakdown to help me. Peter sorted out our boiler and found that our radiator values had been shut on all radiators preventing the radiators receiving water. This was done by a BG engineer stating he had balanced them. I have now cancelled my service contract with BG, made a formal complaint and will be using Peter from now on.
